This company is like all the others a total FRAUD!!!!! Just read the reviews that's enough for me to confirm what I was thinking!!! I've had car insurance for over 10 years with them and when my truck breaks down to Unrepairable and I'm out of the state for over 5...

I'm a consumer, not an agent - If you still have DMV tags on your vehicle then the insurance co. is basically doing you a favor by "keeping" you insured.

The DMV checks to see if vehicles are insured and if not, there's a huge fine to be paid. If you can prove the vehicle was broken down, you may be able to have the insurance cancelled - back-dated. BUT, you would also need to see if the DMV would allow you to turn in the tags - back-dated to the SAME date; go to the DMV FIRST. So, bottomline, DMV tags on a vehicle MUST have insurance to AVOID a fine by DMV.

Don't simply remove tags, RETURN them to DMV. Good luck

An Erie insured driver hit my parked car, while I was in it with my daughter. After over a month, Erie still refuses to fix my car even though every excuse they have had to post-phone making a decision, I have actively fixed myself. I sent the motorists report...I paid...

I have been blessed enough to have never had an accident and if I would have found this review they would have gotten 5 stars with flying colors. Unfortunately, I went out of town 2 years ago and my car was in an accident. The driver ran into something and dented the...

Moral to this story..ALWAYS get a police report. Then file a claim in a timely manner. After 2 years, I'm surprised anyone would even talk to you.

I had Erie Insurance for 24 years. I had auto and homeowners.

One auto accident 10 years ago. No traffic violations or speeding tickets in the last 7 years. Each year my premiums increase a little bit, no big deal. This time, I dropped one of two vehicles from my auto policy and my premium went up.

The explained I lost the multi car discount?! So, there must be less risk with one driver and one car on the road as compared to two? I don't think so. My annual premium was also over $900 for one 2012 Ford Escape.

I shopped it and got Geico -EXACT SAME COVERAGE- for $478. When I canceled my auto policy with Erie, I was told my Homeowner's would increase because I lost the multi-policy discount. I had also just moved to a new home and listed the house for sale. I told my agent that.

I also told them the $200 increase they wanted because of that was ridiculous. What happened next? I got a cancellation letter. It is extortion.

Either pay a ridiculous Auto premium and submit to their multi-policy discounts or they will cancel you. If you have them, shop elsewhere!
