Fine Line Auto Body is a body shop, and we are here to work with and for people. We work with many different insurance companies, but Erie is one of the most unprofessional.

People who work for Erie are very rude, they do not return phone calls. It is almost as they do not care anybody. Erie creates their own rules and expects everybody to follow them. In the last situation it took them 14 days to accept the liability for the insured person, in spite of the fact that he accepted those liabilities from the first moment and admitted that it was his fault in the accident.

The whole repair process would take one day, but it took the 14 days to accept the liabilities. Because the damage was to passenger side mirror my store put the person in a rental car, because it was unsafe to drive. During all that time (14 days) the shop has been calling Erie every day, twice a day just to faster the process, but it was unsuccessful, because our phone calls were unreturned or we would get an answer "We don't know yet, it is under investigation". The same situation was with the claiment.

So, after 14 days of investigation, Erie finally accepted partial liabilities, and, of course, they are refusing to pay for rental time, because they don't consider unsafe to drive without right side mirror. The Ohio law states: "Operators of vehicles, motorcycles, streetcars, and trackless trolleys shall have a clear and unobstructed view to the front and to both sides of their vehicles, motorcycles, streetcars, or trackless trolleys and shall have a clear view to the rear of their vehicles, motorcycles, streetcars, or trackless trolleys by mirror." Even the supervisor has the same opinion and thinks it is save to drive without mirror.

This is just one of many situations when Erie showed unprofessional behavior towards all drivers. Instead of promoting safe practice of driving Erie leans towards unsafe and encourages unsafe driving
